Sinkhole and pavement repair works are completed.
The Shoalhaven was declared a Natural Disaster Area after the March 2022 East Coast Low and subsequent rain events caused extensive damage to many Council assets. Royal Mantle Drive was severely impacted and extensive road repair works are required.

About the works
Shoalhaven City Council has secured Natural Disaster funding for the drainage infrastructure repair works on Royal Mantle Drive. Works will involve the renewal of the existing damaged drainage infrastructure, as well as pathway and kerb and gutter repairs.
2024 Works history
26/02/24 - Sinkhole and pavement repair works are now complete.
February 2024 - Announcement: Royal Mantle Drive will be subject to a full road closure whilst works are in progress. Detours will be in place during this time. Please take care to follow the directions of work site signs and construction employees.
2023 Works history
- 04/12/2023 - Installation of the drainage line is now complete along with the reinstatement of the kerb & gutter.
- 14/11/2023 - Works have commenced on the repair of the existing drainage infrastructure
- 01/11/2023 - Works scheduled to commence early November.
- 22/09/2023 - Natural Disaster Recovery Funding from TfNSW has now been approved and works are being scheduled.
