Beach wheelchairs
Shoalhaven City Council offers free beach wheelchairs for both children and adults at beaches across the Shoalhaven.
The availability of child and adult-sized all-terrain beach wheelchairs helps improve access to the beach for people living with disability, enabling greater participation in recreation and community life.
Beach wheelchairs for both adults and children are available at each of the following locations:
- Holiday Haven Lake Tabourie
- Holiday Haven Huskisson Beach

Beach wheelchairs are specifically designed for use on sand and the water’s edge making it easier for people with a disability or limited mobility to access to the beach.
Bookings may be cancelled, postponed or suspended at short notice if weather, beach or ocean conditions are considered unsafe.
Beach wheelchair hire forms are available at each location.
To use a beach wheelchair, users must:
- follow safety procedures
- sign a hire and indemnity form
- use the wheelchair only at the booked location
- be assisted by a carer or support person when using the wheelchair.
