Across the Shoalhaven are many beautiful and treasured buildings and significant landmarks, our rich heritage needs to be preserved and protected for future generations.

We have plans, policies and development processes in place to make sure our heritage and archaeology is appropriately managed and preserved.

Our heritage preservation plans

Shoalhaven’s heritage items and heritage conservation areas are identified in Schedule 5 of Shoalhaven Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2014 and heritage provisions are located at Clause 5.10 Heritage Conservation of the LEP.
