Matron Porter Drive - Milton - Footpath Landslip
The Shoalhaven was declared a Natural Disaster Area after the March 2022 East Coast Low and subsequent rain events caused extensive damage to many Council assets.The footpath along Matron Porter Drive was severely impacted and extensive repair works are required.

29/02/2024 - Design expected to be finalised by early March. Tenders for construction to be advertised by late March with works expected to be undertaken in second half of 2024.

2023 Works history
- 15/11/2023 - Design in progress.
- 19/10/2023 - Bore hole testing will be conducted on site at Matron Porter Drive during October 2023 by SLR Consulting.
- 14/09/2023 - SLR Geotechnical consultants have been appointed to undertake detailed investigation and design for the landslip and footpath remediation. Investigation works are expected to commence on site in late September.
- 06/09/2023 - An initial geotechnical investigation has been carried out to determine the likely cause of the failure and possible options. Quotations are being prepared to appoint a geotechnical specialist to develop formal designs to be incorporated into a reconstruction tender.
