Collier Drive - Cudmirrah - Beach access path repair

The Shoalhaven was declared a Natural Disaster Area 14 September 2022 (AGRN 1034) after severe weather and flooding events. This had a major impact on Cudmirrah and surrounding communities, with damage to infrastructure and property. The beach access path off Collier Drive, Cudmirrah, was significantly damaged. This coastal asset was assessed by Council and scheduled for repair works.

The latest

Repair works were completed as scheduled, in time to provide safe beach access for the summer seasons' high volume foot traffic.

Effects of the severe weather events caused scouring of the beach access path and damaged the middle section of the path, along with eroding dunes at the end point of the path. These damages caused the beach access stairs to be undermined and assessed and scoped for repair.
