Council has undertaken temporary maintenance to road pavements and made changes to lane widths with some sections being reduced to a single lane.

These measures are followed by more routine inspections and maintenance activities.

Geotechnical engineers will be conducting a site investigation on Burrier Road, Monday 5th September 2022. The road will be open, under traffic control.

Ch.700 – Ch.800 (Cattle bay) – occurred in April 2022

  • Temporary delineation installed and traffic management measures implemented onsite
  • Disaster Recovery Funding approved for geotechnical investigations

 

Ch.3500 (Skyline) – occurred in March 2022

  • Temporary delineation installed and combined with existing traffic management onsite for adjacent landslip
  • Disaster Recovery Funding approved for geotechnical investigation and design
  • Expected Preliminary Design Completion date: June 2022
  • Planned Design Completion date: September 2022
  • Site works expected to commence: November 2022 (if the design is similar and construction funding approved, works are expected to occur immediately following Ch.3560 repairs)

 

Ch.3560 (Skyline) – occurred in 2020

  • Geotechnical investigations and design for permanent repair complete
  • Disaster Recovery Funding approved for construction
  • Construction Tender awarded 17 March 2022
  • Engineering investigation in mid-August identified requirement for further design changes due to deteriorating site condition from the July weather event which has resulted in the delay of construction works.
  • Site works anticipated to commence in by early October 2022
  • Anticipated completion date: December 2022.

 

Ch.5900 – Ch.6200 (Rockwall) - occurred March 2022

  • Disaster Recovery Funding approved for geotechnical investigation
  • Initial inspection by geotechnical engineer undertaken and immediate works completed
  • Temporary delineation installed and traffic management measures implemented onsite
  • Ongoing inspections and maintenance work being completed to maintain site
