St Vincent Street & South Street - Ulladulla - Intersection Upgrade

Shoalhaven City Council has been successful in receiving funding under the Federal and State Government’s Road Safety Program to provide pedestrian safety improvements around Ulladulla High School. Part of this involves the upgrade of the St Vincent and South Street intersection in Ulladulla to traffic signals.

About the works

The detailed design for the upgrade of the St Vincent Street & South Street intersection to traffic signals has been approved by Transport for NSW (TfNSW). For full details of the project, including consultation, please visit the Get Involved page.

Works are complete and traffic signals were commissioned on 24 April 2024. 

History

  • 04/04/2024 - Asphalt works are complete. Remaining footpath construction in progress. Line marking and traffic signals to be completed mid-April.

  • 11/03/2023 - Night works are scheduled for Monday 18 March. Asphalt works will take place between St Vincent Street and South Street. Works will also include the widening of South Street between Camden Street and Rundle Street. During the work hours, there will be detours in place. Works will take two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

  • 06/03/2024 - Traffic signal works have commenced.

  • 20/02/2024 - Realignment of kerb & gutter and construction of footpath is in progress.

  • 30/01/2024 - Works have commenced. Demolition and kerb realignment works to occur over the next two weeks under traffic control. Major intersection works to occur as night works.
  • January 2024 Update - Works on site to commence from Monday 29 January 2024.
  • December 2023 Update - The contract for these works has been awarded. Works are expected to commence on site mid-to-late January 2024.
  • 01/11/2023 - Council is awaiting direction from TfNSW to allow award of the contract for the traffic signal works.
  • 20/09/2023 - Council is awaiting direction from TfNSW to allow award of the contract for the traffic signal works.
  • 01/08/2023 - Drainage renewal works are complete. Council has entered into negotiations with the selected tenderer for the traffic signal works.
  • 05/07/2023 - Drainage works are in progress. Tenders for the main construction contract are being evaluated.
  • 28/06/2023 - Drainage works are scheduled to commence 1 Jul 2023.
