Update 09/06/2023: The road closure has now been lifted.
The Plunkett Street road closure is managed by Transport for NSW (TfNSW) in association with the development of a food establishment by Spectrum Retail Group.
Timelines
- The full road closure allows works to occur between 14 April and 1 July
- Original estimates stated the project would take 11 weeks to complete
- Current estimates are closer to 8 weeks
- It is anticipated that works will be finished in June 2023
Works
Road works are required to make sure that:
- Entering and exiting from the development is safe
- Access to the highway is properly integrated
- The local road network continues to operate at a suitable level of service and safety
