About the project

Fisheries NSW (Department of Primary Industry – Regional NSW) is committed to improve fish passages and marine biology in the Shoalhaven. Fisheries has commenced a project to replace this causeway, a known barrier to migratory fishes, to a more fish friendly structure.

Council is currently undertaking design work and will manage the construction in the near future. Construction is planned for late in calendar year 2023.

There will be road closures during various stages of bridge construction.
