Council will mechanically open the entrance of Tabourie Lake following rainfall in the area overnight.

This morning, the lake’s water level had reached the planned opening level of 1.3 metres (AHD), in accordance with the Tabourie Lake Entrance Management Policy and Crown Lands licence.

Subject to the safety of machinery operators, Council will open Tabourie Lake to the sea.

People are requested to stay outside the work area and keep away from the edges of the dug channel and eroding banks following opening, as these areas may be unstable and unsafe.
