EMERGENCY EVACUATION CENTRES ARE OPEN:

St George’s Basin Country Club – 11 Paradise Beach Road, Sanctuary Point

Ulladulla Civic Centre – Princes Hwy, Ulladulla

LARGE ANIMALS can be taken to:

Milton Showground, 107 Croobyar Road, Milton
Nowra Showground, access via Worrigee Street Nowra

Animal owners are reminded that care of your animals including adequate food supply and any medication, as well as full-time supervision, remains your responsibility once you arrive at the evacuation centre.

NEIGHBOURHOOD SAFE PLACES:

Sussex Inlet RSL and Sussex Inlet Bowling Club

A Neighbourhood Safer Place is designed as a Place of Last Resort in bush fire emergencies only. Please note that travelling to or sheltering at a Neighbourhood Safer Place does not guarantee your safety.

CURRENT ROAD CLOSURES:

Please note that advice subject to change at short notice due to weather conditions and or delayed incidents ie tree falling. Travel to the West of the Princes highway should be restricted to essential travel only due to changing conditions.

When venturing in these areas people should take caution and drive conservatively at all times. Check also Forestry and National Parks for further and current advice as to their areas of responsibility.

ROAD CLOSURES

Princes Highway is closed in both directions near Fishermans Paradise Rd due to a MVA. Expect delays and use caution.

Forestries is advising that the bridge on Clyde Ridge Road, 6-7km west of Woodburn Rd (refer Tabourie Map Grid Reference 541 797) has major structural damage due to fire impact. DO NOT attempt to cross the bridge as it may collapse at any time.

LOCAL ROAD CLOSURES INCLUDE

Worrigee Rd is open to residents.

Forest Rd is closed from the Princes Highway to Callala Beach Rd (alternative access out available via Coonemia Rd).

Bendalong Rd is closed.

Lake Conjola Rd is closed.

Turpentine Road is closed.

Princes Highway is OPEN however roads that connect with the highway, including Sussex Inlet Rd, Bendalong Rd, Fishermans Paradise Rd, The Wool Rd, Island Point Rd and The Hawken Rd.

Braidwood Road (MR92) is closed from Nowra Hill to west of Nerriga.

Wandean Road is closed west of residential area – residents only

Wheelbarrow Road is closed

Woodburn Road is closed between Croobyar Road and Brooman Road - residents only.

Mount Agony Road and North Durras Road are open to traffic providing access to North Durras and Depot Beach. 

Access to Pretty Beach, Pebbly Beach and Flat Rock areas is generally open.
