Shoalhaven Libraries Nowra invites local grandparents and seniors to celebrate NSW Grandparents Day on Thursday, 25th October 2018 at 10 am.
The Library will be hosting a storytelling event ‘The Stories that I loved”, an opportunity for grandparents to share their favourite childhood stories. The storytelling will be enhanced by props and songs making then more interactive.
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor Amanda Findley said that Grandparents Day celebrates the contribution grandparents and more mature residents make to our community.
“Shoalhaven Libraries are offering an opportunity for Grandparents and other seniors in our community to come together and share a story from their past,” Clr Findley said.
“It’s a day to celebrate all the great things our seniors have done and continue to do and a chance to spend the day connecting with other generations.
“Parents and Carers of preschool children are also invited to the special event and I encourage anyone who is interested to come along to Nowra Library on Thursday.”
