Shoalhaven Libraries launch innovative new digital membership system

Shoalhaven Libraries have recently launched their exciting new digital membership system.

The new system provides free and easy access to the library’s online resources including emagazines and ebooks.

The membership also provides access to hundreds of State Library databases, the World Book Online encyclopaedia and thousands of databases covering subjects such as English, Science, History and languages.

Library Services Manager, Sarah Taylor said the new membership would allow the community to access the Library’s full range of digital services without leaving their home.

Ms Taylor said the system would be especially useful for school, Tafe and University students looking to utilise online resources for study purposes.

“Shoalhaven Libraries are particularly pleased to be able to provide this modern new service to the local community,” said Ms Taylor.

“The new service will allow the local community to utilise the entire digital database while at home or school 24/7.”

“Signing up to become a member is quick and easy providing a far greater level of flexibility and access to valuable resources than ever before.”

“Interested local residents can view the full range of digital resources available by visiting the Library website.”

Local residents are asked to visit to join up to the service.

To become a full member and receive access to books and other resources users need to visit one of the library’s branches with their ID or parent or carer if under 16 years of age.
