Household & Garden Waste Disposal Vouchers

Household Waste Disposal Vouchers are issued to eligible Shoalhaven ratepayers annually to assist with the disposal of excess household waste at the depot.

Ratepayers receive two (2) Household Waste Disposal Vouchers and two (2) Garden Waste Disposal Vouchers with their rates notice in July. Vouchers can be used at Council’s Recycling and Waste Depots or for Green and Bulky Waste Collection services.

Get the most out of your vouchers at the Depot

• Pre-sort your waste so recycling items can be seen clearly
• Keep recyclables accessible
• You are only charged for non-recyclable items

About household waste disposal vouchers

• Each voucher is barcoded to the rateable property
• Waste can be disposed of at any of Council's 10 Recycling and Waste Depots
• Each voucher entitles the authorised holder to dispose of household waste at minimal or no charge at:
  • Recycling and Waste Depots with no weighbridge, up to 1 cubic metre
  • Recycling and Waste Depots with weighbridge 300kg
  • Up to 1 cubic metre for a Green and Bulky Waste Collection
• Vouchers are issued for domestic waste only - no commercial, building, demolition, chemical, hazardous or liquid waste is accepted (all loads are inspected)
• Vouchers can be used as part payment for loads that exceed the maximum weight allowance
• A maximum of two vouchers are accepted per load
• Vouchers cannot be sold, traded, exchanged or redeemed for cash

About garden (green) waste disposal vouchers

• Each voucher is barcoded to the rateable property
• Garden Waste can be disposed of at any of Council's 10 Recycling and Waste Depots
• Each voucher entitles the authorised holder to dispose of garden organic waste at minimal or no charge at:
  • Recycling and Waste Depots with no weighbridge, up to 1 cubic metre
  • Recycling and Waste Depots with weighbridge 300kg
  • Up to 1 cubic metre of Green Waste Collections
• Vouchers are issued for domestic waste only (all loads are inspected)
• Vouchers can be used as part payment for loads that exceed the maximum weight allowance
• A maximum of two vouchers are accepted per load
• Vouchers cannot be sold, traded, exchanged or redeemed for cash
