Historical acknowledgement

  • Nowra Showground was established in 1881 and is adjacent to Nowra Reserve bordering the Shoalhaven River. The inaugural Nowra Show was held circa 1886.
  • Sydney’s Botanic Gardens donated 230 trees in 1884, many of historic significance.

Annual closure

Nowra Showground hosts the Annual Nowra Show on the second weekend in February each year.
