Roads affected by heavy rainfall

Heavy rain can cause some of the Shoalhaven's roads to become inundated, particularly in low-lying coastal villages where drains overfill or are impacted by high tides. 

The table below provides a list of streets we know are often affected by the wet weather. The list is the result of our field staff's observations and not exhaustive.

Council actively monitors flood-prone areas and implements road closures when streets become inundated. While this list can help you plan for extreme weather, it is important to remember that you shouldnever drive through floodwaters, even if the road is open. Flooded roads can be dangerous, and water levels can rise unexpectedly.
