15/05/2024 - Council will be undertaking further works on the signalised crossing to address issues with footpath levels and road surface with the signals to be activated shortly after.

Vehicle detours will be necessary with pedestrian access changes during the works in place.

About the works

• 16/10/2023 - Council is working closely with Transport for NSW (TfNSW) to resolve concerns they have raised. When a resolution is reached, the signals will be switched on.
• 14/09/2023 - Negotiations underway with Transport for NSW for Traffic signal commissioning.
• 08/08/2023 - Line marking has been completed.
• 27/07/2023 - The signal posts have been installed. The signal lanterns and wiring have also been installed.  In early August the controller will be installed and connected, linemarking completed and the traffic blisters will be filled and landscaped. After this work is complete a Road Safety Audit will be undertaken and the signals will be commissioned.

• 07/06/2023 - Landscaping, line marking and traffic signals to be installed.

• 12/05/2023 - Asphalt works and concrete honing completed with some further works planned to the footpath and landscaping once traffic signals installed.
• 05/03/2023 - Civil works on islands is nearing completion, with night time asphalt works scheduled to commence in early May on both crossings with detour in place.
• 28/02/2023 - Work underway on stage 2 (second pedestrian crossing) in preparation for traffic signal installation. Raised Asphalt crossing on stage 1 due to be completed 20/3/23

  27/02/2023 - Electrical supply for the traffic lights completed with concrete pour of northern island underway.
