06/03/2026 - Culvert replacement works on Wattamolla Rd adjacent to property no. 500. are commencing 16 March 2026 and are expected to take 6-8 weeks weather permitting. A temporary single lane gravel side road will be constructed to facilitate public vehicle access, as the road will need to be closed at the site due to the width and the work required. Traffic lights will be in place.

About the project

Following multiple declared natural disaster events, the existing 750 pipe culvert and associated outlet headwall has been damaged at CH4980. Works have been approved to replace the existing 750mm pipe culvert with a new box culvert structure with new inlet and outlet structures including mass block retaining wall and new guardrail. In order to facilitate the construction works, a temporary single lane gravel access road will be constructed to deviate traffic around the site. The temporary single lane will be controlled with a combination of traffic controllers and traffic lights out of shift.
