14/08/2026 - Council’s contractor is scheduled to establish the site during the week commencing 24 August 2026. A temporary single-lane side access road will be constructed to allow traffic to pass the site while the works are underway.

About the project

Following multiple declared natural disaster events, the existing 750 pipe culvert and associated outlet headwall has been damaged at CH4980. Works have been approved to replace the existing 750mm pipe culvert with a new box culvert structure with new inlet and outlet structures including mass block retaining wall and new guardrail. In order to facilitate the construction works, a temporary single lane gravel access road will be constructed to deviate traffic around the site. The temporary single lane will be controlled with a combination of traffic controllers and traffic lights out of shift.
