Shoalhaven City Council manages a large portfolio of ‘Community Land’. Some of these properties are owned by Council directly, while others are managed by Council on behalf of Crown Lands.
The use and management of all Community Land under Council’s care and control is governed by Division 2 of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW) (the Act).
The Act sets the framework for management of Community Land and provides direction to councils on a range of matters.
The preparation of plans of management is an important component of this framework.
