Construction of a 2.0m wide footpath along the eastern side of Murramarang Rd. The proposed path will extend the existing footpath (which currently terminates at the O'Brien St intersection in Kioloa) for 1.1km until the Shelly Beach access carpark.
30/03/2026 - The final stage (stage 3) of the Murramarang Shared User Path from Kioloa to Bawley Point is now complete and fully open to the public. Works include 1.1km of concrete path and a 15m footbridge.
Section 3 - Shelly Beach Access Carpark to O’Brien St Intersection
Council has gained NSW Government funding to complete this section of path as part of the election commitment to support active transport in the Shoalhaven region.
Construction is in progress and expected to be complete by September 2025.
