Construction of a 2.0m wide footpath along the eastern side of Murramarang Rd. The proposed path will extend the existing footpath (which currently terminates at the O'Brien St intersection in Kioloa) for 1.1km until the Shelly Beach access carpark.
20/11/2025 - The bridge remains on track for completion and opening around 19 December 2025. Contractor, Jirgens Civil, has advised that works are expected to commence 23rd November 2025. The path to Kioloa is now complete with some missing sections awaiting NBN pits to be raised.
Section 3 - Shelly Beach Access Carpark to O’Brien St Intersection
Council has gained NSW Government funding to complete this section of path as part of the election commitment to support active transport in the Shoalhaven region.
Construction is in progress and expected to be complete by September 2025.
