Dolphin Point Road - Dolphin Point - Footpath

Construction of a 2.0m wide footpath on the eastern side of Dolphin Point Rd running from the Burrill Lake Lions Park access road to Seaside Parade. The project also includes kerb & gutter construction and drainage improvements.

August 2025 Update - The construction tender has been awarded. Pre works documentation is being prepared by the Contractor. Stage 1 to commence around mid-September 2025.

About the project

Council has gained NSW Government funding to complete the Dolphin Point Road footpath as part of the election commitment to support active transport in the Shoalhaven region.

History

  • July 2025 Update - The construction tender submissions have been received and are being evaluated. Council anticipates a site establishment date for Stage 1 towards the end of August. The watermain relocation works have commenced.

  • June 2025 Update - The construction tender is currently live, and submissions are due on 04 July 2025. Council anticipates a site establishment date for Stage 1 towards the end of August and is aiming to have the watermain relocation done prior to this.

  • May 2025 Update - The construction tender is scheduled to be released on Wednesday 21/05/25.
  • April 2025 Update - The issued for construction design is complete and available for download from the related information section of this webpage. The tender documentation is being prepared with construction currently forecast to take place from June 2025 to September 2025.
  • March 2025 Update - Community feedback on the 90% design has been received and addressed. The water main relocation design is in progress.
  • January 2025 Update - The 90% design has been received and issued to the Burrill Lake Community Association and directly affected residents for comments.
  • December 2024 Update - Detailed design continuing.
  • November 2024 Update - Detailed design continuing.
  • October 2024 Update - Detailed design in progress.
  • August 2024 Update - Detailed design in progress.
  • June 2024 Update - Council's technical services department is arranging a design consultant to take the current concept through to an issued for construction design.
