15/06/2026 - Worrigee playground replacement is now complete and open to the public.

About the project

Located at Andrew Crescent Reserve - Worrigee the Reserve Playground is a valued local recreational space. The upgrade will enhance its role as an inviting place for families to gather, play and enjoy the outdoors. This project will replace the existing playground with a new equipment design.

 

2026 Works history

11/05/2026 - Construction works are nearing completion. Following an independent audit and formal handover, the playgrounds will be opened for community use in the coming weeks

14/04/2026 - Construction is scheduled to commence on Monday, 20 April 2026, weather permitting.

22/1/2026 - Council awarded the project to Austek Play. The final design has been approved, and all playground items are now in manufacture. Construction is scheduled to begin after the Easter holidays, with completion expected by the end of June 2026.
