The Shoalhaven community are invited to provide feedback on management actions developed to protect the coastline as part of the Open Coast and Jervis Bay Coastal Management Program (CMP).

The Stage 4 draft CMP has been developed in consultation with the community, traditional owners, and State Government stakeholders. It provides a detailed program of management actions to be implemented over the next 10 years including their costs and how they will all be funded. Such actions have been formulated to address coastal management issues identified from previous community engagements.

"It’s important that we hear from the community about what they value and how they would like our coast and estuaries managed and protected now and into the future. It is also a great opportunity for the community to visualise how their input from the earlier stages of consultation has been captured,” said Mayor Amanda Findley.

The draft CMP is now on public exhibition and can be viewed and provide feedback on through the Open Coast and Jervis Bay Coastal Management Program Get Involved web page until at least 2 February 2024.

Information sessions will be held between 4pm to 6pm, Tuesday 12 December at the Ulladulla Civic Centre, Wednesday 13 December at the Huskisson Community Centre and Thursday 14 December at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre, Nowra.

Although registration is optional, you can Register Online to help us plan for the event.
