Shoalhaven City Council is pleased to announce that the 2022-23 Shoalhaven Local Heritage Assistance Fund, which is proudly co-funded by the NSW Government, is now accepting applications.

The Local Heritage Assistance Fund Grants Program provides small grants of up to $5,000 for local heritage projects to encourage the owners of heritage items, sites and buildings of heritage significance listed in the Shoalhaven Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2014 to undertake new minor conservation works and maintenance.

The grant program seeks to improve the quality of the City’s heritage and will assist property owners to undertake minor improvements, restorations or repairs.

This year’s Local Heritage Assistance Fund will focus on severe weather events and flood relief in a heritage setting. Priority will be given to the projects that seek to restore heritage items affected by recent severe weather events.

The Local Heritage Assistance Fund Grants are available to owners of recognised heritage properties and projects will need to be completed by the end of March 2023. Successful applicants are required to match the grant offer amount dollar for dollar from their own funds.

For more information, visit the Shoalhaven Local Heritage Assistance Fund page on our website.

Completed application forms must be received by Council by 5pm, Wednesday 15 June 2022 by emailing council@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au or posting to PO Box 42, NOWRA NSW 2541.
