Improvements for Playgrounds at Culburra Beach and Erowal Bay

Shoalhaven City Council is inviting residents and visitors to comment on new playgrounds for the Culburra Beach and Erowal Bay communities.
Mayor Amanda Findley is delighted that both communities will benefit from improved playground equipment.
“Culburra Beach and Erowal Bay are growth areas for locals as well as being important locations for tourists. Tilbury Cove Reserve is located close to Penguin Head Lookout and has stunning views of Culburra Beach with lovely large shade trees close to the playground,” she said.
“The Erowal Bay village in Jervis Bay is centrally located to the area's white sand beaches and scenic Booderee National Park,” said Mayor Findley.
Both Tilbury Reserve, Culburra Beach and Lions Park Playground, Erowal Bay are due for replacement.
To ensure the new playground facilities meet the needs of current and future, Council would like to know how residents and visitors currently use the facilities, and what kind of playground equipment community members would like to see as part of the playground replacement.
Lions Park Playground, located on Naval Parade Erowal Bay, currently includes climbing structures and a slide.
At Penguins Head Road, Culburra Beach, in addition to replacing the climbing structure, slide, hanging bars and swing set, Council is proposing a new shade structure and footpath to increase accessibility to the play equipment.
