Are you a young person aged 12 to 25 years with an interest in driving change and being a voice for young people in the Shoalhaven? Then apply now for Shoalhaven City Council’s Youth Advisory Committee!

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your experiences and ideas and offer a fresh and unique perspective to the Committee. The Youth Advisory Committee is an inclusive space which allows individuals from diverse and varied backgrounds to work together to drive change for the young people of the Shoalhaven and have an impact on how they live, work and play in our community.

Steps to apply:

  1. Complete the application form
  2. Email your completed form to council@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au

Purpose

  • To represent the interests and views of young people to Council and the Community
  • To provide an opportunity for young people to discuss issues of concern to young people
  • To provide a mechanism for young people to make representations to organisations and various spheres of Government requesting appropriate action to improve facilities and services available to young people
  • To give young people experience in Local Government and community affairs
  • To create greater awareness and appreciation within the general community of the needs and talents of young people
  • To provide a mechanism for young people to address youth issues themselves

Delegated Authority

Act within adopted budgets aligning with council’s strategic plans and documents to deliver youth programs and activities that meet the needs of local young people.
