Revitalisation of Vincentia Village Shopping Mall Precinct

We’re revitalising the Vincentia Village shopping mall to make the precinct more attractive to tourists and the community.

Norther Carpark Progress

The latest

October and November has seen works progressing well to the northern carpark as we push to have this delivered ahead of the Christmas holiday period. Good progress has also been made on the amenities block, which should see structure starting in the coming weeks.

About the project

By supporting the local and regional economy we create more jobs and a thriving local community.

We’re creating a hub for retail, hospitality (dining), entertainment and recreation. The project is being partially funded through the Federal Government's Building Better Regions Round 3 Infrastructure program, and Shoalhaven City Council.

  • Tender Issued: September 2021
  • Contract Awarded: March 2022
  • Construction Commencement: April 2022
  • Expected completion: April 2023

Craig Exton, Manager – Technical Services gave us an insight into what the community could expect once the project was complete

History

We’ve had good feedback from the community on the project and have put the following into action:

  • An electronic message board is now in place, letting the public know that the shops remain open while works are under way. The messaging can be changed from time to time as the project progresses.  Check out the photo below.
  • Council has taken on the responsibility of performing daily cleans to the port-a-loos provided by the contractor to ensure these are kept to a higher standard of cleanliness.
