Moss Vale Road Urban Release Area - Wastewater Infrastructure

  • Project Status

The Moss Vale Road (MVR) Urban Release Area (URA) is a regionally significant residential development located between Bomaderry and Cambewarra village. The current projected development yield is 3,400 residential lots. In order to supply adequate future servicing to the URA, Shoalhaven Water is currently progressing Wastewater infrastructure.

Overall Project Highlights:

  • Project Approval 2020

Critical Works

Works have commenced within Lot 15 DP 1286870, 63 Emerald Drive, Meroo Meadow. The works include an underbore drill from the Western side of the Princes Highway within Lot 601 DP 1223625, 15 Abernethys Lane to Lot 15 DP 1286870, 63 Emerald Drive per the below sketch plan (refer green line for approx. location, with underbore drill extent between the red lines as indicated).

The construction site within Lot 15 DP 1286870, 63 Emerald Drive is specifically for the underbore drill of the Princes Highway only and the site setup and large structures are temporary only. At the completion of the works, it will simply entail an inground pipeline with associated small above ground air valve.

Underbore drilling works are anticipated to continue for an additional 3-4 week period, subject to weather conditions and other construction efficiencies; though the project team are working hard to fast track the current underbore drilling works to minimise any ongoing impacts.

Shoalhaven City Council has defined specific timeframes for the underbore Contractor to undertake the drilling works. Due to the criticality of the underbore drill, difficulties in construction, and to reduce the overall timeframe of the works, Shoalhaven City Council has agreed to the following working hours:

  • Works on Weekdays (Monday to Friday) permitted between 7am-6pm.
  • Works on Saturdays permitted between 7am-5pm.
  • No works on Sundays.
  • Work on Public Holidays permitted between 7am-5pm.
