Mayor Amanda Findley, opened the Mayoral Relief Fund, on 4 December 2019, in response to the Shoalhaven bushfires.

About the project

Council has established a Committee to make sure the payments go to individuals and trades people who have been directly impacted and need it the most.

You could be eligible if you are:

  • a full-time resident in the Shoalhaven (including renters), and whose home, infrastructure or outbuildings have been damaged or destroyed
  • a tradesperson, including apprentices, who have had vehicles, equipment, or tools damaged or destroyed.

If you were directly impacted by these bushfires, and who are in immediate need of financial assistance, you can apply for a payment from the Mayor's Relief Fund by:

  • submitting an online application form below
  • sending an application published in the 'Document Library' to:
    • council@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au
