Carters Corner - Shoalhaven Heads - Jetty Refurbishment

Council has gained funding under Regional NSW Department of Primary Industries’ Recreational Fishing and Camping Facilities Program to refurbish the deck, handrails and plumbing on the Carters Corner Jetty.

23/06/2023 - Construction has been completed on 14/04/2023 and plumbing issues addressed 23/06/2023.

About the project

These works compliment the previous works completed in 2020 for the upgrade of the fishing platform. The new works include the replacement of aging timber decking, handrails with Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) mesh decking and recycled plastic handrails for durability and sustainability. These improvements are aimed at providing safe and sound access to all visitors.

Works are scheduled to commence 13 March 2023. It is anticipated that works will take approximately 4 weeks.

2023 Works History

11/04/2023 - The majority of the construction works have been completed. In the next few days wheelchair stops will be installed and timbers/handrails will be trimmed. The Jetty is now open to the public.
