As part of Council’s playground renewal program, local residents are being asked what new play equipment they’d like to see at McDonald Parade Reserve in Burrill Lake and Andrew Crescent Reserve in Worrigee.

The playground equipment is reaching its end of life at both locations and needs to be replaced to serve local families into the future.

Mayor Patricia White said the playground renewal program was critical to ensuring playground facilities were upgraded to ensure they were safe and welcoming places for children across the Shoalhaven.

“This is a great opportunity for parents and caregivers to influence the type of playground equipment they’d like to see at these two playgrounds,” Cr White said.

“From toddler areas to more adventurous climbing equipment, let us know what you think the neighbourhood kids would love to see,” she said.

“Council has upgraded dozens of tired playgrounds across the region over the years and it’s now Burrill Lake and Worrigee’s turn to see fresh equipment installed.”

Approximately $200,000 would be allocated for each upgrade.

The survey can be found on Council’s Get Involved platform and closes at 5pm Monday 20 October.
