"I chose to draw the trees after the fires since Easter is a time of regrowth/rebrith. The stump as as a tombstone, and the weaving vines twirl up into the cross. It is all in lead to give it a feeling of sadness that Jesus has left us. The burnt sides represent the loss during the fires around the world. I chose to put roses on top of the two parts of the cross since Easter is a sad but also happy time."
