School Holiday Activities Around The Shoalhaven

There’s so much to do in the Shoalhaven during the school holidays. Council is hosting a range of fun school holiday activities for kids across our Council owned facilities.
Read on for some great ways to keep the kids entertained during the Winter school holidays.
Shoalhaven Regional Arts Gallery
Patterns with Paper
Cut, weave and shape beautiful patterns out of coloured paper to create a unique artwork. Sit back and listen to a story all about patterns.
When: Tuesday 29th June, 10am – 11:30am
Cost: $10
Ages: 3-5years
Basket Weaving
Use cane and other materials to make a basket to take home and store your treasures in. This event is currently sold out but you can book your place on our waitlist in case any spots become available.
When: Tuesday 29th June, 12:30pm – 2:30pm
Cost: $14
Ages: 6-12years
Creative Critter
Make a friendly creature to keep you company. Sit back and listen to a story all about friendly critters.
When: Wednesday 30th June, 10am – 11:30am
Cost: $10
Ages: 3-5 years
Brush Making
Use natural and man-made materials to make an artist's brush and test them out to make fantastic patterns.
When: Wednesday 30th June, 12:30pm – 2:30pm
Cost: $14
Ages: 6-12 years
Mark Making with Hand Crafted Brushes
Create unique patterns and effects using brushes that you have made yourself out of a range of different materials.
When: Friday 2nd July, 10:30am – 1:30pm
Cost: $22
Ages: 12-18years
Swim, Sport and Fitness
Holiday Camp
Keep your child active over the Winter holidays with the Indoor Sports Centre’s new holiday program designed for primary aged children. Kids will learn and develop skills through a variety of games and drills based on a range of sports such as; Basketball, Futsal, Cricket, Table Tennis and more.
You child can attend camp for a full or half day with morning tea, lunch and snacks being provided.

Shoalhaven Libraries
Create, Design and Print in 3D
Create and design a 3D Superhero emblem using Tinkacad website. Your model will be printed using the libraries 3D printer. Start with a basic emblem then add more to make your own unique superhero design.
Superhero Crafts
Dress up as your favourite character with our Superhero cuffs and masks. Make some glittery Superhero slime to take home.
Movie Morning at Ulladulla
Come along and enjoy a hilarious and heartwarming animated kid's movie about emotions.
Lego Movie Making
Animate your own awesome LEGO movie. The library is in peril! Script and film your own adventure to save the books from the bad guys. All materials provided but you can bring your own favourite LEGO character to star in your movie if you like.
Superhero Training
Come to the Nowra Library to become a Superhero. Create a name, make a mask, arm cuffs and a shield to complete your costume. Then you are ready to leap buildings in a single bound, break through walls and knock down the villains to save the day.
Complete all tasks and activities to get your Superhero certificate.
Superhero Lego Building
Build some towers and structures for Superheroes in our fun filled Lego afternoon at Ulladulla Library.
Superhero Stop Motion
Get crafty and create your own superhero figure, ready to star in a stop motion movie!
Fly through the air in the ultimate superhero Air Olympics, whilst learning the art of stop motion movie making. We will provide all craft materials and be creating the stop motion movie using software on our laptops. You will be able to take a copy of the movie home with you on a USB thumb drive.
Superheroes In Clay
Sculpt and make your superhero figure out of colourful clay. Take home your creations.
Harry Potter Trivia
Join us for an afternoon of Harry Potter Trivia, Fun & Games.
Superhero Library Adventure at Sanctuary Point Library
Make a cape and mask, add your own super symbols with fabric pens and paint then use a green screen to star in your own superhero photo-shoot! Please bring a large, plain, light coloured t-shirt to this session. All other materials provided.
Great Outdoors
The Shoalhaven has some great outdoor adventures which are fun for the whole family these school holidays. Why don’t you head out whale watching at one of our many coastal vantage points, go on a bush walk, check out an art trail or tackle a Historical walk.
