Shoalhaven residents and businesses are invited to give to those in need this Christmas by donating to the annual Mayor's Giving Box.

The annual charity campaign will donate presents and funds to local charities and preschools in the Shoalhaven.

This year the recipients include Cullunghutti Aboriginal Child and Family Centre, Lyrebird Preschool, Clipper Road Children's Centre and Salt Ministries.

The Mayor’s Giving Box is open from Monday 28 November until Saturday 24 December and is proudly supported by Stockland Nowra Shopping Centre, 949 Power FM and 2ST.

Unwrapped presents can be dropped off at the Giving Box located between Lowes and Connor stores in the Stockland Nowra Shopping Centre and at the Ulladulla Civic Centre. Online donations can also be made at Give Now.

“I'm delighted to launch the annual Mayor’s Giving Box campaign. Christmas time can be a challenging time of year for many, and I’m calling on the community to donate,” said Mayor Amanda Findley.

“This year has been particularly difficult and even a small donation can help bring joy to a young child, family or adult in need,” Cr Findley said.

“I have chosen Salt Ministries to distribute the gifts as they do a wonderful job in connecting and supporting our most vulnerable within the Shoalhaven,” she said.

“I’d like to thank Stockland Nowra, 949 Power FM and 2ST for all their ongoing support for such an important cause”, Cr Findley said.
