Shoalhaven Regional Gallery is asking for community feedback on the development of a new strategic plan to guide their operations and programming decisions for the next three years.

“It’s important that we hear a wide range of views and perspectives from people who haven’t visited the gallery, and those who are regular visitors,” said Mayor Amanda Findley.

“Our mission is to be a leading arts and cultural destination that reflects Shoalhaven’s increasingly diverse community through exhibitions that centre global issues in a local context and deliver a dynamic and engaging public program,” Cr Findley said.

The gallery will continue to grow their exhibitions program with more shows specifically curated for the region, including increased representation of First Nations artists and more exhibition opportunities to reflect the diverse communities of the Shoalhaven.

The new strategic plan will also consider how the gallery can deliver programs in more locations across our region, with opportunities that support artistic development while encouraging more people to engage with the arts.

Everyone is invited to have their say by completing a brief online survey about what the gallery is doing right and what they could do better before it closes on Friday 16 June.
