Green and Golden Bell Frog Workshops at Worrigee

Shoalhaven residents got their hands dirty, and gumboots wet to help protect the vulnerable Green and Golden Bell Frogs at Worrigee Nature Reserve.

The Green and Golden Bell Frog Habitat Workshop held at Worrigee Nature Reserve was delivered through the Saving our Species program via the South East Biodiversity & Conservation Division.

Local Ecologist, Garry Daly took participants on a guided walk to show the sort of terrestrial and aquatic habitat that this endangered frog prefers.

Biodiversity Officers from Shoalhaven City Council worked with participants to build frog hotels specific to tree frogs using recycled materials sourced from Shoalhaven Waste Services.

A range of frog friendly plants were supplied by Milton Rural Landcare Nursery for participants to take home and plant in their backyards.

Shoalhaven Landcare are forming a Shoalhaven Frog Group so stay tuned for more froggy field days and activities.
