Councillor Paul Ell elected as Deputy Mayor of Shoalhaven

Shoalhaven City Councillor Paul Ell has been elected Deputy Mayor of Shoalhaven at Council’s Ordinary meeting on Monday, 26 September 2022.   

Paul was elected to serve as a Councillor for Ward 2 in December 2021. He is a lifelong South Coast local who works in Nowra as a Solicitor specialising in estate planning. Paul is a proud member and supporter of several community organisations including Rotary and he's committed to a variety of different causes including promoting the Smith Family Learning for Life program. 

Shoalhaven Mayor, Amanda Findley said, “I congratulate Councillor Ell on his appointment as Deputy Mayor and look forward to working closely with him".

Councillor Ell will serve out his role of Deputy Mayor until September 2023. 

In the absence of the Mayor, the Deputy Mayor may exercise any function of the Mayor, at the request of the Mayor or if the Mayor is prevented from exercising the function or if there is a casual vacancy in the office of the Mayor.
