COVID-19 Update - 21 December 2020

Shoalhaven City Council has received advice from NSW Health on the rules and restrictions that apply under COVID-19 public health orders to Greater Sydney, the Central Coast and Wollongong from Monday 21 December 2020. 

The NSW Government have issued information on these restrictions on their website, including a list of suburbs where the restrictions apply.

Specifically, for the purposes of the Public Health Order, ‘Greater Sydney’ comprises the following local government areas: Bayside, Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Burwood, Camden, Campbelltown, Canada Bay, Canterbury-Bankstown, Central Coast, Cumberland, Fairfield, Georges River, Hawkesbury, Hornsby, Hunter's Hill, Inner West, Ku-ring-gai, Lane Cove, Liverpool, Mosman, North Sydney, Northern Beaches, Parramatta, Penrith, Randwick, Ryde, Strathfield, Sutherland Shire, Sydney, The Hills Shire, Waverley, Willoughby, Wollondilly, Wollongong and Woollahra.

As previously stated, NSW Health has advised that:

  • people in the Illawarra-Shoalhaven are asked not to visit aged care facilities until 11.59pm on December 23, unless it is critical
  • any residents of the Northern Beaches local government area who left the area on or since Thursday 10 December 2020 must comply with the same restrictions that apply to the Northern Beaches, regardless of their current location
  • anyone with symptoms to get tested. 
  • people are also urged to ensure physical distancing and good hand hygiene and wear a mask particularly indoors unless at home.
