New rules for responsible animal welfare in NSW
Shoalhaven City Council encourages anyone selling or giving away cats or dogs to be aware that the rules around this activity are changing. From 1 July 2019 a new identification system must be used when selling or giving away cats or dogs in NSW. Failure to comply with the new identification system could result in on-the-spot fines or court summons, where a maximum penalty of $5,500 applies. Lake Conjola Update  – Rainfall and Lake Levels
Council is continuing to monitor the situation at Lake Conjola with a further 56mm of rainfall overnight. It is noted that most of rain occurred along the coastal fringe and not in the catchment. The Lake has increased a total of 5 cm and levels sit at 0.89 (m AHD). No further significant rainfall is expected from today. Lake Conjola- Lake Levels and Opening
Shoalhaven City Council acknowledges the ongoing concerns raised by residents regarding the situation at Lake Conjola and the difficult night that some residents have experienced given the recent rainfall. Despite the rainfall experienced overnight, the Lake level is currently sitting at 0.86m. Shoalhaven City Council is reminding Shoalhaven Heads residents there is one week left to have your say on the future of the Shoalhaven Heads Tennis Court Facility.
