Shoalhaven City Council will be managing traffic flows into Hyams Beach in a bid to alleviate traffic and parking concerns within the area across the peak holiday period. As part of the trial, a manned traffic control post will be provided for two days at the intersection of Booderee Avenue and Naval College Road. Quinns Lane Shoalhaven City Council will be continuing the upgrade to the Browns Creek crossing on Quinns Lane, South Nowra over the Christmas holiday period.  The project includes installation of a larger capacity drainage culvert crossing under Quinns Lane, vegetation clearing and improvements to the creek cross-section.  On completion the works will reduce the frequency that Quinns Lane is inundated with stormwater during rain. Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Joanna Gash has today officially named the two new waterslides at the Nowra Aquatic Park. Council held a competition to help in naming the slides with the two winning entrants winning free slides for a year. Shoalhaven City Council is advising local residents that garbage and recycling kerbside collections will continue as normal on Christmas Day. While garbage collections will remain on Christmas Day, residents are advised to ensure their garbage and recycling bins are placed out for collection the night before.
