Shoalhaven City Council has extended the exhibition period for the of the Shoalhaven Growth Management Strategy (GMS) Discussion Paper and accompanying Draft Shoalhaven Character Assessment Report has been extended until Wednesday 2 January 2019.
Shoalhaven City Council Mayor Amanda Findley is encouraging residents to have their initial say on both these documents before the New Year.
“The community feedback will be used to help develop the Shoalhaven GMS that is intended to guide the future long-term growth of Shoalhaven and help to accommodate its increasing population while maintaining and protecting the social, economic and environmental values of the region,” Clr Findley said.
“Council staff have been hosting a face-to-face drop-in sessions asking the community to think about how the Shoalhaven LGA should grow in the future and discussing the proposed plan.
“The drop in sessions were very popular and the Council has extended the exhibition period until 2 January
“This feedback will be used to inform the content of the GMS 2019-2041, which will be prepared during 2019 and then presented for further community review and comment.”
