SES Media Release - Ulladulla Region

The Ulladulla area is expecting an increase in rainfall this evening and tomorrow, with a low-pressure system forming off the South Coast of NSW, bringing with it, strong winds and heavy rain.

 With strong to damaging winds anticipated and up to five metre swells over the next 24-48 hours, local SES members continue to be on standby to respond to the community’s request for assistance.

South Coast units have already answered more than 320 requests in the past 24 hours. For those community members who are able to self-prepare, by collecting self-fill sandbags, please call 132 500 to arrange collection. 

Lake Conjola, Burrill Lake and Lake Tabourie are open and remain tidal, we expect water will rise with the high tide tonight, but should fall again as the tide lowers early on Sunday morning.

 Increased rain is likely to cause localised flooding and local SES Units asks the community to be safe while driving on South Coast roads, with six flood rescues already performed by SES Units in the past 24 hours.

 The simple message is - If it’s flooded, forget it!
