Are you a family member, friend and/or carer of a person living with disability? Shoalhaven City Council is inviting interested community members to join the Inclusion and Access and Advisory Committee (IAAC).

Advisory committees provide advice on the development and implementation of Council’s strategic priorities. They represent one of the many ways that community members can inform Council’s decision-making.

The purpose of the IAAC is to provide advice and guidance to Shoalhaven City Council, its staff and residents on accessibility and inclusion.

Council invites community members wanting to submit an expression of interest, also known as an 'EOI', to become a member of the committee.

The following positions are vacant:

  • A maximum of two (2) family, friends and/or carers of people living with disability who have an interest in advocating for improved access and inclusion for all.

Council encourages the appointment of two Indigenous representatives, male and female, on all advisory committees.

Further information on the IAAC, including the Terms of Reference (a document detailing all of the rules, requirements and guidelines for the committee) and the application form for membership can be found on the Inclusion & Access Advisory Committee webpage.

There are a number of ways you can submit your EOI:

  1. Complete the form and return it via email to council@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au
  2. Call Shoalhaven City Council on 1300 293 111 and one of our friendly staff can support you over the phone or face to face to complete the form.

Please note: Applications close on Friday 1 March 2024.
