The River Road - Brooman - Bridge Replacement over Boondobah Creek

Replacement of fire-damaged bridge. Work involves the construction of a new, more durable concrete and steel bridge to replace the fire-damaged bridge.

About the project

Council has successfully been awarded grant funding by TfNSW to replace this fire-damaged bridge with a new, more durable concrete and steel bridge.

The Tender Process commenced in July 2023 for a Design and Construct contract to replace this bridge. The successful contractor was engaged towards the end of 2023. Design has been complete. Expected to start on site mid May 2024.

The road will be closed during the bridge construction. Use Middle Ridge Road, the Sheep Track or Barkshed Road to detour the location.

June 2023 Update - Tender Process commencing in July 2023 for a Design and Construct contract. The awarded contractor to undertake proposed work will be engaged in the Spring of 2023, with design and construction to commence shortly thereafter.
