Camden Street & South Street - Ulladulla - Raised Crossing and Pathway

Shoalhaven City Council has been successful in receiving funding under the Federal and State Government’s Road Safety Program to provide pedestrian safety improvements around Ulladulla High School. Part of this involves the construction of a raised pedestrian crossing on Camden Street with shared user path link along South Street.

30/04/2024 - Works are complete pending minor restoration and removal of site compound from site.

About the works

The main construction contract has been awarded.

Works have commenced and are being undertaken concurrently with the St Vincent St and South St Intersection Upgrade.

History

04/04/2024 - Raised pedestrian crossing is complete. Shoulder asphalt is complete. Construction of remaining pram ramps and footpath at the intersection is in progress.

06/03/2024 - Kerb & gutter has been constructed. Footpath works continuing.

20/02/2024 - Kerb & Gutter and footpath construction in progress.

January 2024 Update - Works on site expected to commence late Feb / early March 2024.

December 2023 Update - The contract for these works has been awarded. Works are expected to commence on site late February 2024.

01/11/2023 - Council has submitted a cost variation for this portion of the Ulladulla High School Pedestrian Safety Improvements and is awaiting the outcome.

20/09/2023 - Council has submitted a cost variation for this portion of the Ulladulla High School Pedestrian Safety Improvements and is awaiting the outcome.

18/08/2023 - Council has submitted a cost variation for this portion of the Ulladulla High School Pedestrian Safety Improvements and is awaiting the outcome.

01/08/2023 - Council is proceeding into negotiations with the selected tenderer for the works.

05/07/2023 - Tenders for construction are being evaluated.
