Shoalhaven City Council has moved to provide the Berry/Gerringong Rotary Club with a $15,000 funding grant to assist in the completion of a footpath to the David Berry Hospital.The funding allocation, from the 2012/13 Community Projects Budget, will allow completion of the pathway which stretches from the Berry township to the David Berry Hospital.The Community Projects Budget allows individual groups and organisations with a ‘shovel ready’ footpath/cycleway project to apply for funding.Shoalhav...

Council pays tribute to the area’s up and coming athletes
Shoalhaven City Council hosted a civic reception honouring the area’s most talented young athletes yesterday at the Nowra Administration Building.The formal reception recognised the 23 athletes that have received a scholarship from the Illawarra Academy of Sport (IAS) in this year’s program. Shoalhaven City Council will join with AFL NSW/ACT in hosting the inaugural South Coast Junior Representative Carnival to be held at Nowra Showground this weekend.The carnival will feature players from the four surrounding leagues including the Sapphire Coast, Shoalhaven Juniors, Illawarra Juniors and the Central West.
