Fireweed is a highly invasive and opportunistic weed which can quickly colonise overgrazed areas and disturb pastures. Shoalhaven City Council has awarded the tender for construction of the Orion Beach Shared User Path to Brefni Excavation and Earthmoving following last night’s Ordinary Meeting. Shoalhaven City Council’s application for a Special Rate Variation to fund infrastructure works in the Jerberra Estate has been approved by the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal. Council requested a special variation of 1.49 percent above rate pegging (2.4 percent for 2015-16) as an individual rate levy applicable to the landowners of Jerberra Estate to enable critical development works to proceed in that area. Shoalhaven City Council is calling for community assistance following the vandalism of a new CCTV camera recently placed in the vicinity of the Bomaderry Hotel overnight. The CCTV camera, which had only finished being installed yesterday, was damaged by an individual at 10.34pm on Thursday evening.
