Shoalhaven City Council is inviting the local community to join Councillors and senior staff in ‘sizzling the issues’ at Memorial Park, Shoalhaven Heads from 1pm this Friday. Works are nearing completion on the final stage of the Quinns Lane project. The $1.6 million project has involved the rebuilding of the Quinns Lane road and pavement with lean mix concrete and asphalt. Mayor, Joanna Gash said despite the recent wet weather the bulk of the asphalt works were completed last week bringing the total asphalt used in the project to over 3,000 tonnes. Shoalhaven City Council has made a new commercial rates calculator available online. The new calculator works the same as the residential calculator, but is made to show how commercial rates will be impacted by proposed changes to business rates. Work is almost complete on the installation of CCTV cameras in Bomaderry with the installation of microwave links the final step before cameras can be switched on. Council has changed the date for the Vincentia public meeting on its key draft planning and budget documents, the Delivery Program and Operational Plan.
