Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Joanna Gash has labelled the vandalism of Marriott Park as extremely disappointing.
The park was the victim of graffiti overnight with the toilet block, play equipment, cottage and adjoining bridge having been spray painted.

Nowra Library will be hosting a collection of rare World War I artefacts as part of a special public event being held on Monday 30 November.
As part of the event, NSW State Library World War I curator, Elise Edmonds will be providing a talk about the material and insights into its acquisition.
The day will also feature a special workshop hosted by NSW State Library staff regarding techniques to help preserve family history collections including photographs, letters and journals.

Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Joanna Gash has today signed a Friendship City Agreement on behalf of Council with Fuyang City, China.
Council hosted a delegation from Fuyang City led by Mayor, Fang Xu for the special ceremony held at the Nowra Administration Building.
The delegation also received a further overview of the Shoalhaven and took the opportunity to discuss potential business opportunities within the local area.

Shoalhaven Libraries are now offering the community an opportunity to print documents remotely via Wi-Fi at all of their branches.
Local residents are now able to remotely print any document from a computer, tablet or smartphone before coming into the library to collect the documents.
Mayor, Joanna Gash said all Shoalhaven Library branches have the ability to print, scan and copy documents.

Shoalhaven City Council is advising local residents that the informal carpark located at 59 Owen Street, Huskisson will be temporarily closed to the public later this week.
The carpark will be closed from 5pm Wednesday 11 November to 5pm Friday 13 November weather permitting.
Council’s has engaged, SMEC Consultants to undertake geotechnical investigations of 59 Owen Street as part of the Huskisson Foreshore Masterplan and Development Concepts project.

Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Joanna Gash has welcomed an announcement that will see local oysters being exported to Asia, the Pacific Islands and the Middle East.
Oyster farmers at Comerong Bay were recently granted approval to export their product from the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service and NSW Food Authority.
The export approval was received after local farmers were able to demonstrate strong environmental management controls over a period of time.

Shoalhaven City Council Mayor, Joanna Gash has joined Member for Gilmore, Ann Sudmalis in officially launching six new CCTV cameras at the Sanctuary Point shops.
Council received a $300,000 funding grant from the Federal Government for the installation of CCTV cameras at Bomaderry, East Nowra and Sanctuary Point.

Shoalhaven City Council last night voted down a rescission motion that would have effectively stopped the extension of an off leash trial at Narrawallee Beach.
The loss of the rescission motion means that Council will now extend the off leash trial on Narrawallee Beach until the completion of a city wide community consultation exercise and dog management Policy review expected by August 2016.
