Shoalhaven Heads Tourist Park relocating cabins for summer season
November 18, 2011
Holiday Haven Tourist Parks engaged the services of a specialist contractor in relocating two large holiday cabins to riverfront sites at Shoalhaven Heads Tourist Park last week.
Loaded onto specialised remote controlled hydraulic loading units the two holiday cabins were relocated to visitor sites overlooking the Shoalhaven River adjacent to River Road.
The project represents the first time the group has used the remote controlled technology to relocate holiday cabins.
Cabins previously needing to be relocated were dismantled and relocated piece by piece before being rebuilt at the new location in what was a very tiresome and laborious process.
Tourist Parks Manager, Kevin Sullivan said the quick relocation of the cabins had saved the organisation a good deal of time and energy.
“The relocation of these sites will provide visitors to the area with some amazing views of the Shoalhaven River,” said Mr Sullivan.
“While providing visitors with an improved holiday experience, we are also anticipating an increase in income over the already busy summer period.
“The Shoalhaven Heads Tourist Park is already heavily booked for the summer holiday season and the addition of a new swimming pool and aquatic playground will make for an extremely fun filled holiday for those staying at the park.”
